The unveiling of Books by Professor Brunon Hołyst in Abuja

On December 16th The Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Government and the Polish Embassy in Nigeria organized the unveiling ceremony of a series of (three) classic books translated from Polish language to English. These three books on “Fundamentals of Criminal Psychology”, “Criminology”, and “Suicidology” authored by veteran Professor Brunon Holyst.

The ceremony was attended by many prominent guests including the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, the deputy Governor of Kogi State, religious fathers and traditional rulers, as well as vice-chancellors of universities of Keffi and Lokoja. The unveiling attracted attention of the press and media. The keynote speakers emphasized the role of professional literature in the education of students and specialists, in particular with regard to the detection and eradication of crime in Nigeria. The initiative of translating the books was authored by Dr Nghargbu K’tso, a Nigerian scientist and academic associate of the late Polish Professor Krzysztof Schoeneich, who was one of the most prominent figures of Nigerian geology and who worked at the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. Dr K’tso has for years been a champion of Polish - Nigerian bilateral relations and has a long standing cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Abuja.
