The talks between the foreign ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe were an opportunity to take stock of its activities halfway into the Slovak chairmanship of the Organisation. They also provided an opportunity to guide its work ahead of the formal December Ministerial Council to be held in Bratislava.

Speaking at the plenary session, Deputy Minister Przydacz pointed out that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is a determinant factor for European security. He also stressed Poland’s support for the efforts of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine.

Referring to other important areas of the Organisation’s activity, Deputy Minister Przydacz underlined the need to update the Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures. He also drew attention to Warsaw’s support for the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), which is based in Poland.

In the margins of the talks in Vysoke Tatry, the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy also met with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia. The main topics discussed were bilateral relations and security in the Caucasus.
