The Embassy celebrated the 106th anniversary of regaining independence together with representatives of the Pakistani state authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Pakistani experts, businesspeople, journalists, and representatives of the Polish diaspora. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, served as the guest of honor.. The ceremony was attended by approximately 350 people.

Ambassador Maciej Pisarski underlined in his speech that freedom and independence are inextricably linked to armed action and the fight for them among Poles. The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine underscores the truth of this tradition. The envoy emphasized the need of continuing to help Ukraine's battle against the Russian invasion. He also emphasized the importance of protecting civilians in Gaza and Lebanon while adhering to humanitarian laws. In terms of bilateral relations, the ambassador recalled both the historical perspective and the most current dynamics of relations between Poland and Pakistan.

The main focus of this year's celebrations was the special bond between Poland and Polish Himalayan mountaineers and the Pakistani mountains. The event's accompanying exhibition "Poles at the Peaks of Pakistan" introduced guests to the lives of personalities such as Wanda Rutkiewicz and Jerzy Kukuczka. The ceremony's guests included notable Pakistani Himalayan mountaineers Nazir Sabir and Sirbaz Khan. The event was crowned with a performance by musicians from the Meher Angez group, who performed local poetry to the accompaniment of traditional Pakistani mountain music, and a screening of videos captured during this year's flights over K2 by a group of Polish gliders led by multiple world champion Sebastian Kawa.
