2nd Polish-Qatari virtual roundtable

On May 26th the Embassy, in cooperation with the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA), Qatar-Poland Business Council, Polish Business Roundtable and with the participation of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Warsaw, organized a virtual event called "2nd Polish-Qatari virtual roundtable".

The event began with a plenary session, during which H.E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, the President of QBA welcomed all the participants. Also, the following speakers took the floor: H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Abdulrahman Fakhroo, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Warsaw, Mr. Wojciech Kostrzewa, the President of the Polish Business Roundtable, and Mr. Daniel Dybała, the Chairman of the Qatar-Poland Business Council,.

In total, 41 B2B meetings took place as part of the event, which were attended by 20 Polish companies from the sectors of digital technologies, fintech, investment, foodstuff, construction, water infrastructure, transport and logistics. On the Qatari side, 18 companies owned by Qatari entrepreneurs, members of the QBA, participated.

The aim of the project was to allow businesses of the two countries to learn more about each other, familiarize Polish participants with the Qatari market and to support the creation of long term business partnerships. The effects of the event were positively assessed by local partners, which should translate into the strengthening of the positive image of Poland and Polish brands in Qatar.
