Ambassador Janusz Janke's visit to the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia

On September 22nd Ambassador Janusz Janke and Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Poland, Mr. Abdulla A. Rahman Fakhro took part in the meeting hosted by Rector-Commandant of the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia, Rear-Admiral Professor Tomasz Szubrycht (PhD, DSc).
During the visit talks were held on the Polish-Qatari cooperation in the field of military education. Both sides expressed satisfaction with its outcomes and interest in its continuation in the upcoming years. It was emphasized that in 2020 as many as 15 cadets of the Qatari Coast Guard will start their studies in Gdynia. The Ambassador of the State of Qatar shared his appreciation of the high standards of education at the Academy. He stressed that cooperation in this area is a significant contribution to the strengthening of relations between the two nations. Ambassador Fakhroo also met 10 Qatari students studying at Academy. Ambassador Janusz Janke assured of his full support for the further development of the undertaking. During their stay at the university the guests were also invited to observe joint exercises led by the Polish Border Guard instructors and the Qatari cadets.
In 2019 the first group of Qatari cadets graduated from the Academy.
