Bilateral cooperation in the defense sector

Prospects for the development of Polish-Qatari cooperation in the field of defense were the subject of a videoconference organized on February 22. Representatives of the Embassy, the Polish defense sector, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense participated.

The exchange of views concerned the nature of the market in Qatar and the region, the needs of local partners, as well as the strengths of the Polish offer in the discussed sector. The interlocutors indicated the most prospective areas of the cooperation, particularly in the field of the military training, which has continued  for many years now, and the existing legal and treaty framework. In addition, attention was drawn to the developing collaboration in civil aviation sector, as well as the priorities of the Qatari side in the context of the organization of the FIFA 2022 World Cup and the ongoing dynamic modernization of the armed forces.
