Collaboration between Poland and Qatar in the construction sector

On February 11th representatives of the embassy, the Qatar-Poland Business Council (QPBC), Aqvarius Company and the Public Works Authority "Ashghal" attended the online meeting which aimed at identifying potential areas of Polish-Qatari cooperation in the construction sector.

During the talks, Mr. Bader Mohammed H. A. Darwish, the Manager of the Road Projects Department at "Ashghal” presented the scope of activities of the Qatar Public Works Authority and introduced the participants to the procedures for obtaining contracts made available within the tendering system. He encouraged Polish companies to register their products and services in three areas: design, construction, as well as maintenance and servicing. The Embassy emphasized the readiness to support this process, and also emphasized the attractiveness of the services and products “made in Poland”. For its part, QPBC declared its interest in establishing contacts between “Ashghal”, reliable Qatari enterprises, and Polish contractors.
