Cooperation between Polish businesses and the Agricultural Development Company (AGRICO)

On January 30th ambassador Janusz Janke and representatives of the Qatar-Poland Business Council visited the production facilities of Agrico, the largest producer of fresh, organic vegetables, herbs and mushrooms in Qatar which applies modern agricultural methods including hydroponics and exposure to specialist LED lighting.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the production processes, technologies used in the cultivation of vegetables, mushrooms and herbs, challenges in this area as well as the company's plans for the future, which include, among others the development of the aquafarming sector in Qatar and further increase of production efficiency and effectiveness. During the talks, the company's management expressed their interest in cooperation with Polish contractors, suppliers of technological solutions and know-how. As a result, a working relationship has been established between the representatives of Agrico on one hand and the embassy and the business council on the other which aims to support economic exchange between the two countries.
