Poland in Qatar

On 30^th October the Embassy representatives were received by the director of Al Jazeera Centre for Studies, Dr. Mohamad Elkhalil. The meeting focused on the possibility of establishing cooperation between Qatari and Polish think-tanks.

Tomasz Sadzinski, head of mission in Doha, commented on the significant development in recent years of interest of Polish analytical centres regarding the issues of the Middle East and those of the Global South. This is due to the dynamic growth of the Polish economy, the ongoing internationalization of Polish enterprises, as well as the awareness of the impact of global challenges on the security and stability of Poland and the region. In this context, the international support to Palestine, which Poland formally recognized as a state in 1988, was emphasized. 

The interlocutors confirmed their interest in cooperation, which could take the form of participation of experts from Poland in the events organized by Al Jazeera Centre for Studies, as well as the implementation of joint research projects.

Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is an analytical centre established in 2006 as part of Al Jazeera Media Network. It focuses on the political, economic and social processes taking place in the MENA region and the Arab world.
