Embassy’s cooperation with the Qatar Free Zone Authority

On 4 February H.E. Ambassador Janusz Janke met with Ahmed M. Al Sayed, minister of the State, President of the Qatar Free Zone Authority at the headquarters of the Qatar Free Zone Authority (QZFA). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further development of economic cooperation between Poland and Qatar, in particular in the area of investment.

During the meeting Ambassador Janke invited Minister Al Sayed to take part in economic events organized by the embassy in 2020. The minister emphasized that he was observing with interest the economic successes achieved by Poland. In his opinion, Qatar may play the role of an economic bridge between Europe and Asia and Africa for Polish companies. He presented the goals and instruments at the disposal of QFZA aimed at attracting investors to Qatar. The host of the meeting expressed readiness to support the embassy's efforts and willingness to pay a visit to Poland this year.
