On 1st April Ambassador J. Janke attended the Final draw ceremony which saw the drawing of football teams within groups participating in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. A delegation of the Polish Football Association was present at the event.

As a result of the draw, the White and Reds will play against Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Mexico at the World Cup in Qatar.

The 22nd edition of the world championship in Qatar will take place in less than eight months. For the first time in history, the World Cup will be held in the Middle East. Due to weather conditions, the championships will not be held traditionally in summer, but in winter, and will last from 21st November to 18th December.
