Meeting of the Polish ambassador with Ahmad Al Hammadi, secretary general of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On March 23, a meeting took place between ambassador Janusz Janke and Ahmad Al Hammadi, secretary general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Qatari side was presented with the Polish assessment of the situation in Ukraine, the scope of support undertaken for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees, Poland's position on aggression and actions taken by the Polish government to support Ukrainian authorities and the civilian population, also on the international organizations arena.

Ambassador J. Janke expressed his gratitude for the support given by Qatar to the resolution against Russia's aggression against Ukraine at the UN General Assembly. Minister Al Hammadi expressed concern about Russia's violation of the principles of international law, the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Ukraine, and its negative global consequences in the area of energy and food security. He expressed his hope that the Russian side would cease its military actions quickly and expressed the readiness of the Qatari side to support peace talks and to provide aid to the victims of the conflict, in particular in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent, Qatar Charity and the Qatar Development Fund.
