Meeting with the Executive Editor of Al-Watan newspaper

On January 11th Ambassador Janusz Janke met Karam Elhelawy, the Executive Editor of Arabic-language Al-Watan daily. The meeting aimed at establishing a working relationship and founding opportunities to increase Poland’s visibility in Qatar.

The talks focused on the state of Polish-Qatari relations, the prospects for the further development of political and economic cooperation and the possibility of strengthening it through the implementation of particular joint projects. The ambassador highlighted that Qatar remains one of Poland's closest and most trusted partners in the Middle East. The dynamic economic development of the country boosted i.a. by the 2022 FIFA World Cup preparations and Poland's experience in organizing similar sports events is one of the stimulus that opens up opportunities for cooperation in other areas, including security and civil aviation.
