Meeting with the President of The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal'

On January 14th ambassador Janusz Janke met dr Saad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi, the President of The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal'. The purpose of the meeting was to present the economic potential and services of the Polish construction sector and to discuss potential areas of cooperation.
During the talks the ambassador invited the Public Works Authority to participate in the economic initiatives planned by the embassy. Dr Al Muhannadi expressed his interest in the cooperation emphasizing the good reputation of Polish companies. It was agreed that future events organized by the embassy will include a separate discussion panel dedicated to the construction sector, which will be attended by representatives of the Public Works Authority.
The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' was established in 2004 to be responsible for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar. Presently Ashghal’s major contracts include: the Doha Metro, a network of cycling and pedestrian paths in the country and relevant infrastructure facilities related to the organization of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
