Participation in International Fairs AgriteQ & EnviroteQ 2021

On 23-27 March the embassy organized the Polish national stand at the AgriteQ & EnviroteQ fair, where Polish companies from the agri-food sector were promoted, including Polish brands present on the Qatari market.

At the Polish stand catalogues and samples of products from such companies as: Wedel, Pszczółka, Agrami, Mzuri, QChoice, Wiejak sp.z o.o., Kaskat, or Aqvarius were made available. Representatives of the embassy and the Qatar-Poland Business Council were providing Qatari entities with information about the opportunities for building business relationships with partners from Poland. On the sidelines of the exhibition H.E. Ambassador Janusz Janke gave the Qatari daily The Peninsula an interview on the potential of the Polish agri-food sector and Polish technological solutions in this sector.

In total, the exhibition attracted over 200 exhibitors, including 65 Qatari farms, as well as 42 countries represented by businesses, diplomatic missions or bilateral business councils.

According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology, Polish exports to Qatar in 2020 reached USD 92 million, of which agri-food products accounted for USD 13.4 million (approx. 15%). In turn, the data of the Qatar Statistics and Planning Office set the value of Polish exports to Qatar in 2020 at USD 199.2 million.
