Poland in Qatar

On 19th January 2025 the Embassy of Poland in Doha held a reception on the occasion of the assumption by Poland of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Among the invitees were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and ambassadors of the European Union, NATO, Middle East, North African and Asian countries. High ranking officers of the Polish armed forces, representatives of UN offices in Doha, Georgetown University in Qatar, local media and Qatari and Polish business communities and were also present in the audience.

In his opening speech Mr. Tomasz Sadzinski, head of the mission, Embassy of Poland in Doha, presented ambitious priorities of the 6-month Polish presidency in the Council of the EU, which focus on boosting security of the Union and its citizens in areas such as defence and internal security, fight against disinformation and information manipulation, boosting energy, economic, food and health security of the European Union.

In the second part of the meeting, the EU Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Cristian Tudor, took the floor.

The event was accompanied by the exhibition ‘The Europe we share’.
