Polish amber at the Katara International Exhibition for Kahraman
10.01.2025
The 5th edition of the Kahraman Exhibition featuring amber products took place in Doha on 7-10 January. The most important Polish accents at the event included three stands of exhibitors from Poland and the presence of two experts from the International Amber Association. They ran a specialist laboratory where amber enthusiasts could commission an analysis of products from their collection and obtain an appropriate certificate. In addition, Amber Experts specialists conducted a series of workshops on the origins, properties and applications of amber, and also provided their own educational materials. From conversations with Qatari exhibitors present at the fair, it turned out that a significant part of the products they presented came from Poland or were made from raw material from our country.
Tomasz Sadziński, head of mission, Embassy of Poland in Doha, took part in the opening ceremony of the event, accompanying Prof. Khalid Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, CEO of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, as well as other heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Doha.
The event, promoted by the organizers as the 2nd largest trade fair in the world, after the fair in Poland, dedicated exclusively to amber, is organized by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation. This year's edition was attended by over 77 exhibitors from 14 countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Turkey, China, Lithuania, Germany, Ukraine and Poland.
