Poland in Qatar

On 23^rd November another edition of the Ajyal film festival organized by the Doha Film Institute ended. As always, there were Polish accents during the event. This time, Qatari viewers could participate in screenings of the Diplodocus animation, directed by  Wojtek Wawszczyk, short films Dance in the Corner, directed by Jan Bujnowski and An Orange from Jaffa directed by Mohammad Almughanni, who in February this year won the International Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand ISFF festival.

All screenings were very popular with the local audience.

During meetings with the directors, Tomasz Sadziński, head of the diplomatic mission, congratulated them on their successes, thanked them for popularizing the Polish film school in Qatar, and discussed the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between Qatari and Polish cultural institutions, in particular in the promotion of Polish cinematography and training and academic offers in the field.

We look forward to meeting Polish artists during subsequent events organized by the Doha Film Institute.
