Polish-Qatari virtual roundtable

On November 9, 2020, the embassy organized the "Polish-Qatari virtual roundtable", in cooperation with the Qatar-Poland Business Council. The event was organized in the form of a videoconference, with accompanying parallel in-person networking sessions. The online conference included panels covering cooperation in four promising sectors: energy & IT, aviation, finance and banking, as well as research and development. They provided Polish and Qatari institutions and enterprises with an opportunity to present possible joint undertakings and exchange experiences.
The aim of the project was, above all, to promote Polish business entities, allow them to establish relationships with selected Qatari partners and show the development potential of Polish-Qatari cooperation in the sectors discussed.
Among the participants of the videoconference were representatives of the following Polish entities: PGNiG S.A., Polish National Cloud sp. z o.o., Polish Air Navigation Services Agency S.A., National Development Bank S.A., PKO Bank Polski S.A., Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw as well as the National Medicines Institute. On the Qatari side, it was attended by the members of the Qatari Businessmen Association, Qatar Free Zone Authority, Qatar Financial Center, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Doha Bank, Commercial Bank, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar Foundation.
The honorary guests of the event were H.E. Mr. Abdulla A. Rahman Fakhroo, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Poland and H.E. Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al-Thani, Member of the Executive Committee and Managing Director, Business Development at Qatar Financial Center.
The final event of day was a gala dinner, which was accompanied by the official inauguration of the Qatar-Poland Business Council.
