Professor Krzysztof Marycz from the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wroclaw visited Doha

The Embassy organized a visit to Doha of the Polish researcher, professor Krzysztof Marycz, Head of the Department of Experimental Biology at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences from 30 November till 2 December.
The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibilities of commencing cooperation with Qatari partners in the field of joint research as well as the exchange and training of scientific staff.
During his stay in Doha professor Krzysztof Marycz held meetings at the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), an institution financing research carried out in Qatar. The guest also visited the Equine Veterinary Medical Center at Al Shaqab, where he was welcomed by staff, including dr Florent David, an head of the sports medicine and rehabilitation section at the center. Next the Polish scientist was received by dr. Richard O'Kennedy, a board member of the Qatar Foundation, in charge of the research, development and innovation, and by dr. Edward Stuenkel, Dean at the College of Health and Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, which is a part of the Qatar Foundation research complex.
Professor Krzysztof Marycz also met Polish scientists carrying out research projects at universities in Qatar such as: Texas A&M, Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar and Hamad bin Khalifa University.
