Rector-Commandant of the Naval Academy in Gdynia pays a visit to Doha

On 19-21 January, at the invitation of the Qatari Ministry of Internal Affairs, a delegation from the Naval Academy in Gdynia, headed by the Rector-Commandant of the Academy, Rear Admiral Professor Tomasz Szubrycht, visited Doha with the aim to take part in the graduation ceremony of the Police Academy graduates. The event was attended by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, as well as the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Qatar, Iraq and Palestine. The group of 136 students graduating this year included citizens of Qatar, Iraq, Palestine and Somalia.

Rear-Admiral Professor Tomasz Szubrycht also participated in the reception organized on 19 January by the Polish Embassy in Doha on the occasion of Poland taking over the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Naval Academy in Gdynia has been successfully educating Qatar Coast Guard cadets for years. Currently, a total of 19 Qataris are pursuing the 4-year study program at the university.
