The Polish community in Qatar celebrates the National Independence Day with a sporting event

The 7th Independence Run co-organized by the Witold Pilecki Polish School in Qatar and the Polish Embassy in Doha took place in the Lusail Multipurpose Hall on 8th November 2024.
The event was held to honour the 106th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence.
The inititave, organized annually since 2018, has enjoyed a growing interest of the Polish community and supporters of our country from all over the world. This year's run was attended by representatives of the Polish Embassy in Doha: Head of the Mission H.E. Tomasz Sadziński and Consul of the Republic of Poland Mr. Aleksander Parzych.
During the run, contenders of all ages had to cover a distance of one kilometre. At the finish line every contester received a diploma and a medal from the Head of the Polish Embassy.
On the eve of the country's Independence Day, all the participants along with the school choir sang Poland's national anthem.
We cordially thank the Polish School in Qatar community for their enthusiasm and all the Polish diaspora members for celebrating the anniversary together. We also express our gratitude to the Qatar Sports For All Federation for their support in organizing the event on the premises of Lusail Mulitpurpose Hall.
