Visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz to Qatar

During a visit December 13-15 this year, H.E. Minister J. Czaputowicz took part in the Doha Forum 2019 organized under the motto "Reimagining Governance in a Multipolar World " and held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of the highest Qatari authorities.
Bilateral meetings included talks with the prime minister and minister of the interior, H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thanim, Qatar's deputy prime minister and foreign minister H.E. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and with Qatar's national security advisor H.E. Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al-Mesned. Minister Czaputowicz thanked Qatar for the participation in the Warsaw Conference on the Middle East and encouraged further active participation in the Warsaw Process. He also reassured the Qatari side of Poland's readiness to intensify bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of economy and security.
During the session "A Stronger Role for Europe in the International Arena: What Would It Take?" Minister J. Czaputowicz discussed, together with politicians and experts, the future of Europe, the most important challenges that European states are facing, in particular in the context of Brexit, green governance or further enlargement of the European Union.
On the margins of the Forum a meeting took place between Minister J. Czaputowicz and the Iranian Foreign Minister, H.E. Mohammad Javad Zarif. The conversation concerned, among others, situation in the Middle East. On this occasion the head of Polish diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information on the current level of work of working groups, which meet within the framework of the Warsaw Process.
During his visit to Doha, Minister J. Czaputowicz also met representatives of the Polish community in Qatar, whom he thanked for their contribution to Qatar's economic and social development and for the shaping a positive image of Poland abroad.
