The sharing session was an opportunity to outline a short history of the European Union, its goals, achievements and plans for a more active role in the international arena, as well as to present Poland as a modern country with a rapidly growing economy and rich tradition and culture.

The focus of this year's edition of "The European Union At Your School" project was on economic and political ties between the European Union and Singapore and the Southeast Asia region, as underpinned by the new EU strategy to strengthen cooperation with the Indo-Pacific region in the key areas which are most relevant for the future generations: sustainable development, environmental protection, digital technologies.

Additionally, the Polish presentation focused on Poland as an important and fast-growing economy and a regional leader in Central and Eastern Europe, Polish contribution to building a rule-based community, as well as the benefits of the EU membership for the country and its citizens. Students were also invited to discover Polish tourist attractions and educational opportunities.

The EU at Your School project is coordinated by the EU Delegation in Singapore and the Singapore Ministry of Education. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland has been an active participant in the project since its inauguration in 2019.
