In the context of COVID-19 impact on the labour market Ambassador Magdalena Bogdziewicz met with Mr. Kenny Tan, Director of Manpower Planning & Policy Division in the Ministry of Manpower to discuss the situation of Polish companies and employees in Singapore, as well as issues related to the foreign talent policy and Singapore’s future as an attractive business hub in Southeast Asia.

The meeting also offered opportunity to share Poland’s experience related to the transformation of labour market in the recent decades, with significant FDI’s contribution, which was aimed at the development of skills and competences, increasing productivity, competitiveness and stimulating entrepreneurship.

In the year marking 40 anniversary of Solidarność movement in Poland, ambassador Bogdziewicz underscored the contribution of the workers’ union to the social and democratic changes in Central and Eastern Europe.
