Meeting with Mr Raja Kumar, Senior Advisor (International) of the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs.

On May 4, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Singapore, Magdalena Bogdziewicz, met with the Senior Advisor (International) of the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Raja Kumar who has been appointed as the next president of the FATF.

Ambassador M. Bogdziewicz congratulated Mr. Raja Kumar on his election to the position of president of the International Financial Action Task Force, the global money laundering and terrorism financing watchdog.his position.

During the meeting, the parties focused on the priorities of Singapore’s two-year term in the FATF group and the challenges facing the international community in connection with the progressive digitization and the increase in the number of financial crimes taking place in cyberspace.

Poland, currently not a member of the FATF, actively takes part both in the group’s initiatives and in the work of its regional bodies.

Ambassador Bogdziewicz and Senior Advisor Kumar discussed the prospects of strengthening cooperation between Polish and Singaporean financial institutions and the possibility of using the annual Fintech Festival in Singapore to exchange experiences and present breakthrough solutions.

The meeting was also an opportunity to exchange opinions on supra-regional security threats.
