28.05.2021
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore informs that the Asia – Europe Foundation (ASEF) has launched the Open Call for Applications for secondary school teachers under the project “IoT, Big Data and AI: Innovating STEM Teaching through Strengthening Teacher Professionalisation”.
The project is a 4-month long hands-on training programme for secondary school teachers in the four Visegrad countries and will take place between September to December 2021: on a pedagogical, curriculum & technical level.
Schools of participating teachers will be provided with cutting-edge technological equipment that allows them to monitor and analyse environmental and climate change through data collection on a joint platform (e.g. air temperature, rain rate, humidity, solar and UV radiation, etc.). Teachers and students will engage in collaborative online training sessions and explore & create 21st-century teaching & learning settings in their own classrooms.
The project will enable them to:
- Build pedagogical expertise & digital competence
- Collaborate with other teachers in V4 countries through peer-to-peer exchanges
- Train students in innovation & entrepreneurial skills, as well as soft & intercultural skills such as global citizenship, critical thinking & creativity.
Participation in the programme: free
Duration: September – December 2021
Time required: 5-10 hours / month
Application Deadline: June 21, 2021
The project is financed by the International Visegrad Fund.
