Ambassador of Poland to Singapore Magdalena Bogdziewicz was among the honourable guests invited to cut a ribbon at the official opening ceremony of the Cosmoprof Asia fair on 16 November. She also opened the fair’s POLAND zone which included the Polish national stand organised by Polish Investment and Trade Agency which showcased 10 brands as well as 20 individual booths by Polish companies with an extensive offer of both natural and high-tech beauty products.

Polish exhibitors presented a wide array of products manufactured according to the top EU quality standards and newest trends, ranging from organic soaps, through face and body care to specialist hair treatment and make up.

Polish cosmetics manufacturers had an opportunity to connect with Singaporean businesses and industry organisations at the dedicated Networking Evening on 15th November.

Strong Polish presence at Cosmoprof fair reflects Poland’s solid international position in the beauty industry as well as growing and well-grounded ambition to expand to Asian markets. With over 100 years of tradition in the field and more than 1000 producers and distributors, Poland currently ranks 5th in the EU in cosmetics production, just behind the leading and internationally recognized markets such as Italy, France or Germany.

The value of Polish cosmetic export stands at 3,7 billion EUR - more than double its worth in 2009.  Every second cosmetic produced in Poland is exported to more than 160 markets worldwide. Among main export destinations for Polish beauty products are Germany, UK, Czechia, Belgium and France but their presence is also dynamically growing in Asia. Top export products include skin care cosmetic personal hygiene products and colour cosmetics. Every third hybrid nail polish produced globally is in fact made in Poland. Polish cosmetic industry is shaped by innovations and newest trends with its dynamic development supported by highly qualified employees and over 70 academic institutions offering courses in cosmetology and cosmetic chemistry.
