29.10.2021

Singapore International Energy Week 2021 with the strong representation of Polish experts sharing Poland's experience in the energy sector transformation.

7th Asia LNG Hydrogen Gas Markets Conference

This year’s Singapore International Energy Week comprised in total 13 conferences, including among others Singapore Energy Summit (SES), IRENA, Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) and LNG & Hydrogen Gas Conference.

The last two conferences were attended by a strong representation of Polish experts who shared Poland’s experience in the hydrogen economy development (Tomoho Umeda, Stowarzyszenie Polski Wodór, KIG), ground-breaking photovoltaic technologies (Olga Malinkiewicz, Sauletech) and e-mobility (Maciej Mazur, Polish Association of Alternative Fuels).

In his opening speech at SIEW, Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, summarized the activities undertaken by the local government towards a sustainable energy future underlining the importance of collaboration with foreign partners within new technologies across the energy sector and the import of clean energy.

Magdalena Bogdziewicz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Singapore, took part in the opening ceremony of SIEW and the ACES inauguration.

She also visited the stand of Durapower, a Singapore-based company planning to build a battery factory for electric vehicles in Poland, and met with the company’s management.

SIEW 2021 was the second edition with the presence of Polish representatives, but the first one with such wide participation of Polish business.

On the day of SIEW's inauguration, The Business Times published the article “Poland to go greener by 2050”, featuring the key challenges of the energy landscape transformation in Poland.
