Polish film "Never Gonna Snow Again" presented during the 31st European Film Festival in Singapore

Polish film “Never Gonna Snow Again” by artistic duo Małgorzata Szumowska and Maciej Englert was screened in Singapore as a part of the 31st edition of the European Film Festival (EUFF)

Multiple award-winning at the international film festivals, a poetically presented drama with elements of satire, dealing with current social problems such as migration, climate change, loneliness and at the same time referring to the presence of the Ukrainian community in Poland, was very well received by the local audience, closely following the trends prevailing in contemporary European cinematography.

The leitmotif of this year’s edition of the festival was the expression of support and solidarity with Ukraine.

In the speech preceding the screening, Ambassador Magdalena Bogdziewicz referred to the situation in Ukraine and the help provided by Poland and other European countries to refugees from areas affected by the war.

The speech was also an opportunity to highlight the achievements of Polish cinematography.

The European Film Festival is organized by the EU Delegation in cooperation with the Singapore Film Society.

This year’s edition features 24 European films from 23 countries.
