The first session of the ministerial meeting at which - at the invitation of the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry and the International Energy Agency - the Polish position on decarbonisation of the economy was presented by Minister Kurtyka, was devoted to the dynamics of investments in renewable technologies and infrastructure for the production and distribution of electricity and the role of governments and the private sector in increasing the share of renewable resources in energy production.

The representative of Poland mentioned the possibilities of storing energy obtained from renewable sources in the form of heat - which plays an important role in Polish climatic conditions and coordination in the Baltic Sea region in terms of more effective use of the potential of offshore wind farms.

The panelists also considered the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the pace of greening economies in the face of the economic downturn, in a way that requires investment, system integration and building resilience to supply and distribution disruptions, including those related to cyber threats.

The ministerial conference "Investment, Integration, and Resilience: A Secure, Clean Energy Future" gathered government members from over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa as well as representatives of international organizations and business.
