The Belarusian operation against Poland continues

23.11.2021

On November 22, a plane departed from the airport in Minsk with on board, among others, 118 persons who was previously brought in by the Belarussian security services through the migration route aimed at destabilising Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. The next flight is being prepared today – said Stanisław Żaryn, the spokesman for the Minister – Security and Intelligence Services Coordinator. At the same time he stressed that the evacuation flights organised by Minsk could not be interpreted as evidence that the Lukashenka regime had withdrawn from the plan to destabilize Poland.

Stanisław Żaryn said that - according to the information in the possession of Poland - "it was an evacuation flight of people who, deceived by Minsk, wanted to return to their countries".

“In addition, our information shows that one of the Belarusian so-called travel agencies involved in the operation against Poland has announced that it is organizing a return flight from Belarus to Syria and Iraq for those who wish to leave Belarus. Customers who have just been brought to Belarus by this entity can count on a free flight, others have to pay several hundred dollars. The flight from Minsk to Damascus will be organized in the coming days” - said Stanisław Żaryn.

The spokesman for the Minister – Security and Intelligence Services Coordinator assessed that the tough defence of the Polish border was effective, but this could not lead to Poland's less vigilance in the face of the actions of the Lukashenka regime. “The situation remains tense. The Belarusian security services are still interested in organizing attacks on our border line. We expect further aggression and also play against the fatigue of our people serving on the border. We cannot and do not intend to reduce the vigilance on our border” – emphasized Żaryn.

Every day there are numerous attempts to force the Polish border by migrants supported by the Belarusian security services. As the spokesman for the Minister – Security and Intelligence Services Coordinator said, such activities will undoubtedly be continued.

“Lukashenka's regime is still looking for new directions to bring foreigners to Belarus. We have signals that the use of the route between Moscow and Minsk may intensify in the near future to fuel this crisis organized by the Belarusian security services” – emphasized the spokesman for the Minister – Security and Intelligence Services Coordinator.

"We know that Lukashenka's regime is looking for other directions so that those currently blocked can be supplemented or avoided" – added Stanisław Żaryn.
