Poland was attacked due to a hybrid operation with aim of destabilizing our country and permanently weakening internal and external security.

Creation of a permanent migratory route, operated and controlled by the special services of Lukashenko, with Russia’s support and consent, would have had a negative impact on functioning of the Polish state and on the citizens’ security.

Since the beginning it has been clear that the actions of Minsk are conducted on behalf and for the benefit of Russia. Thanks to a firm response to the actions of the regime of Putin and Lukashenko, a scenario negative for Poland and Poles was avoided.

Today a permanent barrier at the Polish-Belarusian border, that has been built for several months, will be completed. This investment will allow to protect the border and further destabilization of Poland through illegal migratory route will be prevented.

The Polish government, while effectively defending Polish border, neutralized threats stemming from a hybrid operation conducted by Lukashenko in the interest of Putin. That is why Poland remains a safe and stable country.

Today, an effective response to the threats stemming from the so-called hybrid methods depends, to a large extent, on proper recognition of situation, identification of real targets, risks and threats. The Polish government properly assessed the situation.
