Officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) detained Jarosław A. who was charged with signalling readiness to operate to the advantage of the Russian intelligence against Poland with the aim of transferring information, which could constitute a major injury for the Republic of Poland. The man was detained on 11 July 2022 in the Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. The ABW officers searched also sites in different regions of Poland, connected to Jarosław A. and other individuals involved, which the detainee intended to use in the scope of his cooperation with the Russian intelligence.
