Man suspected of cooperation with Belarusian secret services detained by ABW

Poland’s Internal Security Agency officers, at the request of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office, have detained a man suspected of secret collaboration with Belarusian intelligence services.

Taking part in activities for the benefit of the Belarusian intelligence agency, against the interests of the Republic of Poland, is under investigation.

The man detained by ABW is a citizen of Poland. He has been charged with espionage (under the article 130 of the Polish Penal Code) to the advantage of the Belarusian intelligence service KDB.

Pursuant to the court’s decision, the suspect has been arrested for three months.
