In recent days, the activity of Russian troops attacking Ukraine has focused mainly on rocket attacks and artillery shelling. The main goal of the Russians was to bind Ukrainian forces with fire - the firing continued along the entire line of contact in Donbas. The Kremlin also continued to attack Ukraine's critical infrastructure and civilian facilities. Russia continues to use shelling and bombing to deliberately attack civilians. In this way, the Russian invaders are trying to terrorize Ukrainian society and break the morale of the defenders.

Ukrainian troops continue their defensive operation focusing on attacking valuable military targets. In recent days, there have been attacks on ammunition storages organized by the Russians in the occupied territories. The aim of the Ukrainian attacks is to paralyze the logistic base of the aggressors.

Further information indicates that the Russians are recruiting additional troops taking part in the war against Ukraine. The Kremlin forces prisoners and people in Russia illegally by blackmailing or promising abolition to fight against Ukraine. Increasingly, it also sends representatives of ethnic minorities to war, being aware that the greater participation of ethnic Russians in the war may result in social tensions in Russia.

Despite mutual attacks and massive shelling by Russian forces, each side maintains its combat positions. There are currently no major changes to the situation at the front. Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that the Russian goal remains the destruction of Ukraine's statehood in its present form. There is no indication that Russia's aggression will end any time soon.

The activities of the Kremlin focus not only on military attacks, but Russia also continues to use the methods of hybrid war against Ukraine and the West. As part of its actions against Ukraine, Russia conducts cyber attacks, terror against the civilian population, but also actions aimed at worsening the economic situation of Ukraine, including actions that destroy the agricultural economy. The spectre of hunger is used by Russia for further pressure on the West. The Kremlin's goals also include to stop the involvement of NATO countries in favour of Ukraine and to "normalize" cooperation between Russia and the West in line with the Kremlin's principles. The Kremlin is counting on a return to economic cooperation and the lifting of sanctions imposed by the West.
