Russian citizen expelled
07.06.2023
On 6 June 2023, Emran Navruzbekov, a Russian citizen, was expelled from Poland. The Head of the Office for Foreigners issued a decision against him, denying him entry to Poland, as well as a ban on his stay in the Schengen Zone. The information the Russian has provided to Polish institutions proved unreliable. In accordance with the court's decision, the man was awaiting deportation from Poland in a detention center for foreigners.
In conversations with Polish state institutions, Navruzbekov presented himself as a person who had served in the counterintelligence of the FSB in Dagestan and has extensive knowledge of the activities of the security structures of the Russian Federation.
The information provided by the Russian was thoroughly verified by the relevant services of the Republic of Poland. A multifaceted analysis indicated that the man's story is not very credible. The biographical data he gave, the professional path he described, the knowledge he presented concerning Russia's actions in the Caucasus, among other places - proved inconsistent, and in many places also untrue or unverifiable.
The Polish special services assessed Navruzbekov as a person whose intentions and testimonies are unreliable and raise real doubts about the reason for his presence in Poland. The Russian's stories, also presented during his contacts with the media, look like an attempt to make himself credible to the Polish side.
The Polish special services, after a long-term analysis and verification of Emran Navruzbekov's story, recommended issuing a decision to oblige the man to leave the territory of the Republic of Poland. His further presence in Poland posed threats to the Republic of Poland.
