Spy in the hands of ABW

Officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) have arrested another person in an investigation conducted by the Internal Security Agency under the supervision of the National Prosecutor's Office. The investigation concerns a spy network that carried out tasks for Russia on Polish territory.
The detention of the suspect took place on June 21 this year. The detainee is the 15th person to be charged with participation in an organized criminal group in connection with spying activities.
The suspect came to Poland in 2019, established contact with the coordinator of the spy network, and received systematic salary for carrying out tasks against Poland, which included surveillance of critical infrastructure - military facilities and seaports.
Under the decision of the court the man was temporarily arrested for a period of three months.
The case conducted by officers of the Internal Security Agency is dynamic and developing. ABW is continuing intensive efforts to establish the details of the activity of the spy network and to detect all persons connected with it.
