Yesterday, the Border Guard deported 8 foreigners to their countries of origin - 6 citizens of Tajikistan and 2 citizens of Georgia. The men received decisions obliging them to return – four of them posed a threat to state security and public order. In the case of one of the expelled, links to the terrorist organization ISIS have been established.

Among the foreigners there were also people who organized or helped in illegal crossing of the border from Belarus to Poland.

Five foreigners applied for international protection on the territory of Poland. In all these cases, the Head of the Office for Foreigners issued decisions refusing to grant refugee status and subsidiary protection. Foreigners appealed against the above decisions to the Council for Refugees. The Council upheld the decisions of the Head of the Office for Foreigners.

Foreigners were banned from entering the territory of the Schengen countries for a period of 5-10 years.
