"Financial Technology" refers to the use of modern technologies to create innovative solutions on the financial services market. In the narrower scope of its meaning, the term defines business entities that create and develop such solutions, becoming the forerunner of the digital revolution on the financial services market. The essence of Fintech product innovations is the creation of products and services that are more user-friendly and understandable, and at the same time more effective, transparent and automated than the existing customer service systems. During the Webinar we will try to answer the question if FinTech's challenges can be solved through engagement of decision makers, new EU legal frameworks incl. Digital Singel Market and cybersecurity aspects. We will touch upon the inclusion of women and the need of early education showing the benefits of studding IT/ digitization/Fintech, especially by women. Where is the equilibrium between user-friendliness and security. The aim of the webinar is to give a clear message to the decision makers on challenges, barriers and expectations of different points of view in Fintech in Poland and in Sweden. Our panelists will try to answer the following questions: 1.Where are the greatest challenges and threats in Fintech after COVID? 2. What are the greatest opprotiunities for Fintech after COVID? 3. How do you see the future of Fintech? 4. Is Fintech sector women friendly?

Katarina Areskoug currently works as a Director at Kreab. She was previously the Head of the European Commission’s Representation in Stockholm for 5 years and worked before that as State Secretary for Foreign and EU Affairs to the Swedish PM Fredrik Reinfeldt. She has earlier worked for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and European Commission both in Brussels and Stockholm.
Eliza Kruczkowska, Chief Innovation Officer at Polish Development Fund, a financial group which offers instruments supporting the development of companies. She is in charge of coordinating “ Start In Poland” programme aimed at building a vibrant startup and venture capital ecosystem including €500m in investment in VC funds and online one-stop-shop for startups at startup.pfr.pl. She used to be a CEO of Startup Poland, a grassroots organization aimed at helping build better conditions for Polish startups by influencing policy-makers, educators, academics, and the media. She has extensive experience in tech, politics, communication, as well as NGOs. In the past, she has worked abroad in Madrid at Internet Advantage, London at the Evening Standard, and Munich at Lewis PR. |
