Poland in the UAE

EXPO 2020, the largest event ever staged in the Arab world, is fast approaching. Ambassador Robert Rostek met with Polish journalist to discuss bilateral cooperation between the country and the United Arab Emirates and talked about Poland's appearance at Expo 2020 Dubai. The objectives of Poland’s presence at the event include both economic promotion and strengthening the image of Poland on the international scene. Ambassador asserted the Polish pavilion will follow the exhibition's main theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Poland’s presence at EXPO 2020 Dubai is an opportunity to promote sustainability and mobility in technologies and to support cultural programmes and tourism industry.

In the interview granted for the RAKBusiness Magazine, Ambassador Robert Rostek highlighted the development witnessed by the Polish - UAE's relations, specifically in the economic field.  Poland is the 6th largest economy in Europe. UAE is Poland's the most important and the biggest economic partner in the Middle East. Polish Ambassador emphasised the dynamic increase of interests of Polish entrepreneurs in investing and expanding Emirati market. There are over 100 Polish companies active in the UAE and its number growths. "The trade scene between Poland and UAE will be more interconnected in the next five years due to bilateral memorandum of understanding, legal cooperation agreement, investment promotion and business opportunities in both countries" - said Ambassador.
