UAE and Poland discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations in maritime transport

H.E. Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of Federal Transport Authority (FTA) - Land and Maritime, as of late met with H.E. Marek Gróbarczyk, Polish Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation met in Poland to sign an agreement on sea transport and trade.

"It is a historic event, since it is the first agreement on free navigation, transport and customs facilitation between our countries, ports and operators," Minister Gróbarczyk said, adding that Poland was planning to build strong seaport connections with the UAE for the supply of energy resources.

Abdullah Al Nuaimi said that the deal is one of the most important agreements for the UAE in the region. The UAE Minister assured that his country is determined to cooperate with Poland on concrete projects.

During the visit, a series of meetings were held to talk about economy and trade relations and investigate opportunities for Polish organizations to put resources into the UAE, particularly in the infrastructure sector. Meetings were held to explore opportunities for Polish companies to invest in the UAE, especially in infrastructure.
