Decision
All asylum proceedings conclude with the issuance of a decision. The decision is issued within 30 days – if the application is examined in accelerated mode (see: Procedure for granting international protection Initial stage) or 6 months from the date of lodging an application (this time duration may be prolonged to 15 months). These dates refer to the proceedings conducted by the Head of the Office.
The decision contains the information on the legal basis, the outcome and the instruction in a language that is comprehensible to the individual concerned.
The Refugee Board is a body which considers appeals against the decisions of the Head of the Office. More information can be found below.
