The bid bond should be submitted before the deadline for submitting tenders. The bid bonds submitted by tenderers whose offers have not been selected or have been rejected, the seller will return within 7 days, from the date of selection or rejection of the offer, respectively. The bid bond made by the buyer is included in the price. The bid bond is not refundable if the winning bidder has refrained from concluding the sale agreement.

THE OFFER SHOULD INCLUDE:
1. Name, surname and address or name (company) contact phone number (Form1),
2. The offered price not lower than the asking price and specification of the form of payment,
3. The bidder's declaration that they are familiar with the conditions of the subject of the tender or that they are responsible for the consequences of resigning from the inspection,
4. Statement on the processing of personal data (GDPR) in the form set out in Form 2.
DATE, PLACE AND MODE OF SUBMITTING AN OFFER:
Signed written offers with the proposed purchase price should be submitted to the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh, 2 Kinnear Road, EH3 5PE Edinburgh in sealed envelopes with the annotation "Volvo S80 tender - do not open", on business days between 8:30 and 15:30, until May 7, 2021, 15:30 local time.
The offer is binding for 14 days. An incomplete or unsigned offer will be rejected. Failure to pay the bid bond is the reason for rejection of the offer.
REJECTION OF THE OFFERS:
The offer will be rejected if:
1. It was submitted after the specified date, in the wrong place or by the tenderer who did not provide the bid bond.
2. It does not contain the data and documents referred to in items 1-4 regarding the requirements of the offer or they are incomplete, illegible or raise other doubts, and providing explanations could lead to considering it as a new offer.
After the rejection of the offer, the Tender Committee will immediately notify the tenderer.
OTHER INFORMATION:
The buyer is obliged to cover all costs related to the re-registration of the car.
Below is the information (simulation of costs) regarding additional costs:
When selling the car on the British market to buyers from the diplomatic corps, the purchase price will be reduced by the amount of VAT due as indicated by HMRC.
When selling the car on the British market, the following costs are to be incurred (for buyers outside the diplomatic corps):
- tax on passenger cars and motorcycles (road tax) - roughly approx. 320.00 GBP (exhaust emissions 186-200 g / km)
- the cost of re-registering the vehicle on regular plates - approx. 55.00 GBP
- the cost of purchasing new plates
When selling the car to another country:
- pay all customs duties, taxes and excise duties due when bringing the vehicle to another country
- deregister the vehicle in the UK
A natural person participating in the tender is required to have: an identity card, proof of payment of the bid bond and sign a declaration of familiarization with the actual condition of the car, and the person representing the legal person is also required to have appropriate powers of attorney and a current excerpt from the court register. In the case of a copy of the excerpt, the copy should be certified as a true copy of the original.
The car will be sold to the highest bidder.
In the event of several bidders submitting the same price, the tender will be continued in the form of an auction between these bidders.
The buyer signs the purchase/sale agreement immediately after the end of the tender and makes the payment within 7 days from the conclusion of the tender procedure. The vehicle will be released after the payment is made and the car is re-registered to the buyer.
The buyer buys the vehicle in its present condition.
By bidding, buyer agrees to pay all fees associated with the acquisition and re-registration of the vehicle, including taxes, registration, maintenance and any other costs required by local law.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh is not responsible for hidden defects of the vehicle.
The organizer of the tender reserves the right to postpone the tender start date or cancel it without giving any reason.
