Fundraising workshop for Polish NGOs in the UK

05.07.2024

The Polish Embassy’s Consular and Polish Diaspora Section prepared an event detailing the possible funding sources for Polish organisations abroad, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships with international institutions.

Fundraising workshop for Polish NGOs in the UK

The event was led by Robert Kawałko, the chair of Polskie Stowarzyszenie Fundraisingu, who is a fundraising specialist, mentor, management and PR expert. His extensive experience and vast knowledge, coupled with his education at Jagiellonian University and the University of Freiburg in Switzerland, make him a trusted leader in the field. The workshop, inaugurated by Consul General Mateusz Stąsiek, provided a comprehensive toolset for the attendees, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to build a stable financial foundation and foster sustainable growth of their NGO.

The event was met with great interest, gathering approximately 40 participants representing charitable organisations and members of the Polonijna Rada Konsultacyjna (PRK) of the London consular region. It was a great opportunity for Polish NGOs of a diverse profile, such as outreach, education, and promotion of the Polish language, to network and exchange best practices.

The meeting was not just a one-time event but a part of the Embassy’s consistently implemented NGO support strategy. This ongoing strategy is designed to strengthen and professionalise the activities of Polish organisations in the UK, ensuring their effective functioning and providing continuous support.
