Polish schools in the UK

Over 180 Polish Saturday schools are currently operating in the UK, a testament to the active involvement of the local Polish community. Whether operating independently or collaborating with local British schools, these schools are crucial in preparing students for GCSE and A-level in the Polish language. The majority of teachers in these schools are proficient in teaching Polish as a foreign language and hold appropriate qualifications under the British education system. This extensive system of teaching the Polish language and culture is a key factor that distinguishes the Polish community in the UK.

In addition, the Consular and Diaspora Section of the Polish Embassy in London also partners with local schools by funding the Polish After-School Clubs. The provided support enables participating schools to organise after-school classes on the Polish language, culture, history, and traditions. In 2023, 29 schools in the London consular district participated in the programme. You can find out more about the current edition of Polish After-School Clubs here.

The interactive map we have prepared provides information about Polish Saturday schools in the UK and Polish After-School Clubs. You can access the map below.
