Ambassador Professor Piotr Wilczek opened the Polish stand at the International Food and Drink Event (IFE) at the ExCeL Centre in London. In his speech, he drew attention to the watershed moment in the food and beverage industry. "The presence of such a large number of Polish companies today in London is significant, bearing in mind the challenges related to trading terms between the European Union and the UK. We have much to offer to British consumers, and I believe that events like the one today can only help the visibility of our high-quality products here."
The Polish stand, with a total area of 180 sqm, featured 30 companies representing various sectors of agri-food production. The National Center for Agricultural Support (KOWR) organised the Polish stand. In addition to the KOWR national booth, several Polish companies exhibited separately, including key players in the poultry industry.
The IFE fair at the ExCeL centre is one of Europe's largest food industry trade shows. The event is open to the public, who visited the booths of about 1,500 exhibitors from dozens of countries (national pavilions besides Poland included Italy, Romania, India, Turkey, Australia and many others).
