06.11.2021
On Saturday, 6 November, the participants of The eMobi Road to COP26 initiative visited London. The initiative, organised by the Polish Chamber of Electromobility Development Association (PIRE), is a drive by electric cars through Europe to Glasgow to present a petition for the establishment of a World Electromobility Day by the United Nations at the COP26 climate conference.
Five representatives of PIRE came to London. They met with Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Agnieszka Kowalska and spoke to the media at the Embassy.
The initiative aims to highlight the role of electromobility in decarbonising the transport sector as an effective technology to achieve climate goals. It’s over 10,000 km to be driven in two electric cars between the COP host cities: Warsaw – Katowice – Glasgow and Rome as a partner of this year’s climate conference. The route includes cities such as Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Rome, Vatican City, Berlin, Brussels and London.
“The eMobi Road to COP26” has received the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, the Minister of Infrastructure of Poland, and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
