Happy Easter Remarks from Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau
08.04.2023
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Rau, wishes all of Polonia and Poles, a very Happy Easter.
Fellow Poles!
As we prepare to celebrate Christ's resurrection, let me send my warmest greetings to all Poles living abroad, their families, and their loved ones. Most of all, I hope this Easter brings you joy, health, and peace. May this holiday be a time of respite from our everyday cares, and may it fill our hearts with hope, peace, and mutual kindness.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Unfortunately, for another year, the backdrop to this joyful holiday will be Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine. I am proud to say that the Polish community abroad continues to stand in solidarity wit Ukraine and is doing its best to support the victims of Russian aggression. In this time of exceptional sacrifice and challenge, but also of unity among nations and determination to help our neighbours, we need more hope than ever before.
This hope that we derive from our faith in Christ arisen and from ever stronger bonds of fellowship from our neighbours, enables us to look forward to the future with optimism and confidence. Happy Easter everyone!
