Department III - Department of Dosimetry and Contamination Detection Systems
The Department conducts R&D works on:
- Methods and equipment for detection of nuclear radiation and the measurement of ionizing radiation;
- Methods and equipment for troops screening;
- Methods and equipment for CWA, HEM and TIC (Chemical Warfare Agents, Highly Energetic Materials and Toxic Industrial Compounds)
- Propagation of gamma and neutron radiation in shielding materials;
- Nuclear explosion detection methods and instruments;
- Research on the influence of ionizing radiation on electronic devices;
- Research on the influence of ionizing radiation on polymers modification.
